In this case our client, a home health aide from Ghana, was crossing the street when the defendant, who was texting and driving, lost control of her vehicle impacting the plaintiff at high speed. Miraculously, our client lived through the ordeal, however she was caused to suffer extensive injuries including fractures of her foot, arm, clavicle and hip, as well as trauma to her head and torso.
